@purplephish20 give me a sec
-
@purplephish20 Sadly not from scratch.
-
@purplephish20 That's an important part of the emulator, yeah. Can't run games if it doesn't know how to process anything.
-
@purplephish20 You've pointed it to the PS1 BIOS, right?
-
@purplephish20 I believe you can load that as a disc image. Just open the emulator, Load Disc Image, and pick it. It should run the normal PS1 boot screen and then play it.
-
@purplephish20 What format is the game in right now?
-
@purplephish20 Just get the image and pick it from the emulator. I can't really be any more specific without being at home and having the emulator in front of me, sorry.
-
@purplephish20 Just use pSX. LoD is the only game I've had problems with it with, and that game has issues on anything that isn't a real PS1. The internet'll tell you where to get the BIOS, and then you can just stick the game discs in your computer and play that way (or you can use disc images too)
-
@purplephish20 I will mention that it tripped over The Legend of Dragoon's copyright protection mechanism, though. ePSXe gets around that but I've found it's not as good of an emulation in some cases.
-
@electroidfire @purplephish20 **hugs**
-
@purplephish20 Nah, modern devs just wanna inflate their game lengths. "Our game is seventy hours long thanks to all the long, drawn-out cutscenes we added! Why would you play the competitors' games that are only * scoff * four hours long instead?"
-
@purplephish20 At least it wasn't like when I linked a pic to Bitshift, and then he couldn't enter the site.
-
@purplephish20 That redirects me to the front page.
-
@purplephish20 really :L well i guess it depends on what emulator you had/what platform you got the emulator like for example: PC,Android,iPhone and etc
-
@purplephish20 pSX is super easy to use as long as you have the BIOS. It's an almost perfect emulation.
-
@purplephish20 who even plays old xbox games any more
-
@purplephish20 Well in the end,the person who wins with backwards compatiblility is PC ;p
-
@purplephish20 Ps3 slims from 2009 through 2012 were PS1 compatible but for super slims,i don't know
-
@purplephish20 I have a PS3 Slim and I can play PS1 games. Maybe not with the new slims.
-
@purplephish20 Yeah, each game needs a different set of compatibility hacks to run, so rather than bloat out the firmware with hundreds of patches for games a lot of users will never even play, they make them available on demand via download. It makes a lot of sense.
-
@purplephish20 Alright,just making sure you knew :P
-
@purplephish20 My PS3 now has a small amount of spit on it
-
@purplephish20 Actually PS3 allows PS1 games to play. PS2 porting was abysmal, though.
-
@purplephish20 well you will need a actual Xbox 360 harddrive to do it too :P
-
@purplephish20 Cerulean is a nice color, so it's not unlikely that it's other peoples favourites. Same with Cobalt, my FOE OC. There's a lot of Cobalts around.
-
@purplephish20 sorry the inter net sucks here.... i dint saw my own comets....
-
@purplephish20 I bought it and I like it. It picks up the music already in your library and sets now playing properly and everything It's a complete replacement. Even your playlists are accessible.
-
@purplephish20 It makes sense too. If I'd spent £400 for an online service, I'd at least want something special.
-
@purplephish20 “I WOULD LOVE TO EAT HALF OF A GREEN APPLE RIGHT ABOUT NOW!”
-
@purplephish20 that is it. i'm done
