Ubuntu's Unity is da bawm but I may as well wait for 12.04, also Ubuntu packages tend to be too unstable for my liking. Debian has always had the most epic stable packages which I love but will I be unhappy with lack of non-free and old packages?! If anyone says Gentoo I'll say go back to 4chan! ... speaking of Gentoo, maybe Sabayon? or Chakra, they seem to be good.. Although I'm not much of a fan of KDE... If I had a good enough brain, more cyborg less human, then I'd go FreeBSD for stability and packages, but I do not :< Windows 7 is an annoyingly viable option especially for Steam and such (although Wine can handle that, not sure with regards to my games though), but ofcourse I'd much prefer a kernel that's had some effort put into it and isn't prone to malware and crashing itself.
