Probably Stuck Between Dimensions
(Yes, I know this place is back. No, I don't plan on returning; I just don't fit in with the whole "4chan vibe", as I heard it described recently. Anyway, if anyone wants to keep in touch, catch TryshaGray on Twitter. Otherwise, have fun, and keep it pony.)
Not all ponies miss out on all that Princess Luna has put together for her show after she brings out the moon! Me? I do some of my best work and spell-weaving when the stars come out. Besides, I tend to be the sort to keep to myself, a lot of the time. Lately, I've found I'm a lot more of a "Twilight Sparkle" person, though some still say I have a very "Fluttershy" personality, right down to being more likely to talk to your critter companions than you, at first. It takes me a little while, but if I don't get too badly spooked, I'll open up. And if you see me suddenly pop out of a moon portal, or catch my eye hovering in the sky as I try to find someone or something I've lost again . . . sorry about that. I really try not to startle people too much with this stuff. It's just so cool, though!

@communistprime Thank goodness. I didn't think so, but wanted to be sure. A Chinook was shot down near Wardak. 30 U.S. and seven Afghani troops killed. Mostly special forces -- looks like mostly SEALs -- but some other support personnel as well. Didn't think you'd be involved there, from what I gathered, but, still . . . glad you're all right. And praying for the ones lost, all the same.

@zachariastargazer Did you get a chance to get out and look? We headed to a dark area here, but it was pretty cloudy. The north horizon seemed a bit illuminated, which could have been a distant auroras, or just my eyes playing tricks. *pout* Sounds similar to what some folks in Nebraska got tonight, though. Not much, but it's something. :)

Decided to be spontaneous again. Off to pick up my honey, to hit Pizza Schmizza, then catch the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Here's hoping my penchant for miscommunication this afternoon doesn't bite me in the butt any worse than it already has.

@zachariastargazer ARGH! Where's Rainbow Dash when we need her?! *grumble* With KP at 8 and POES Auroral Activity Level at 10, that means auroras down around 50 degrees corrected magnetic. St. Louis is only a few minutes south of 50 degrees. So, if this somehow holds, yes, it could hit as far south as St. Louis (albeit barely). I hope that the clouds clear up!

@zachariastargazer EEP! And, while you're swinging, look up to the north tonight. The CME's from the last two solar flares just hit at the same time, and we have a the K-index spiked to *8*! If that holds up, you may even get some auroras down by you tonight! :)

@greydragon412 Right. http://www.j.mp/askponies That's where they maintain something of a directory. The top Applejack one and the original Applebloom one, I want to keep. They keep things fairly true to the spirit of MLP:FiM. Most of the rest, though, is like a ridiculous cross-over show of 90210, The L Word, Dexter, Nip/Tuck, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and the last two seasons of Heroes, with characters who happen to have the same names as those in MLP:FiM. Granted, I like some of those shows, but they are so not pony! Anyway, those, you can have, and do with what you wish.

@treblecanter Actually, that WOULD be kind of fun, since you mention it: something like Twitter for Celestia, role-played from the perspective of the residents of Equestria. Not like rp.rainbowdash.net, where there's plots (sort of) and actions and poses going on, but actual Twitter (or what ever the Equestria equivalent would be) feeds as if written by ponies actually in Equestria, in the spirit of the show. Unfortunately, the more I think about it, it'd more likely wind up being turned into more of the crap that shows up in most fanfics than characters who would actually be in the spirit of the show, like has happened with most of the Tumblr blogs. (Luna and Twilight having a baby together by way of magic? Really? And now a three-way polygamous relationship between Twilight, Nightmare Moon and some OC? And let's not go into the whole rape thing that happened recently. *shudder*) Ugh! Yeah, forget that idea. Anyway . . . Sorry, got caught in a brainstorm. It's passed now. Carry on.

@zachariastargazer Hee! I've been peeking over there between tasks this morning. Really glad the mission is going so smoothly. Anxious to see how the solar array deploys, since that's been a problem in the past. With those panels being the main source of power ... *exhale* Anyway. Fingers crossed! :)
