Probably Stuck Between Dimensions
(Yes, I know this place is back. No, I don't plan on returning; I just don't fit in with the whole "4chan vibe", as I heard it described recently. Anyway, if anyone wants to keep in touch, catch TryshaGray on Twitter. Otherwise, have fun, and keep it pony.)
Not all ponies miss out on all that Princess Luna has put together for her show after she brings out the moon! Me? I do some of my best work and spell-weaving when the stars come out. Besides, I tend to be the sort to keep to myself, a lot of the time. Lately, I've found I'm a lot more of a "Twilight Sparkle" person, though some still say I have a very "Fluttershy" personality, right down to being more likely to talk to your critter companions than you, at first. It takes me a little while, but if I don't get too badly spooked, I'll open up. And if you see me suddenly pop out of a moon portal, or catch my eye hovering in the sky as I try to find someone or something I've lost again . . . sorry about that. I really try not to startle people too much with this stuff. It's just so cool, though!

@sugar I'm doing pretty darned well, thank you! Coffee's starting to kick in, and I'm starting to get into my day here a bit. :) And how are things going for you? By the way, as far as San Japan, I think @princessluna has some info about the get-together that's happening there.

@zachariastargazer Yes, it's a little concerning, in that regard, especially since it's now looking like at least two of the three resulting CME clouds may have merged. They are predicting up to a 7 K Index storm tomorrow, as a result. At the same time, though, I can't help but be psyched that we might actually get some pretty lights this way. :) Right now, they're dealing with a low-level radiation storm as a result of all of this, but nothing the ISS doesn't weather on a regular basis. Looking at the D-region absorption maps right now . . . Wow. Definitely active out there.

@zachariastargazer Great to hear that! And I'm trying to wake up before I get to work, but may have to rely on coffee once I get there. Overall, though, I think that I'm doing pretty darned well, thanks! Reading up a bit on the M9 flare that popped off last night. Three nights in a row of M-class flares, all three aimed in our general direction!

@zachariastargazer It wouldn't surprise me at all if there is some law regarding government surplus or environmental impact or re-zoning or decommissioning of 40 year-old radio dishes or something that either made selling it impossible, or restricted to the point of being prohibitive. Or if no one there just had the sense to look into it, for that matter.

@zachariastargazer Awww! Yes, a lot of history there at Merritt Island. I'd forgotten that the station was going to be torn down after the last shuttle flight. The new one they're building sounds like it will be impressive, but it just feels like they could do something better with MILA than bulldoze it. :/

@kingcarcinopony I definitely understand how that happens. I used to write quite a bit, in my younger years. I haven't done so in decades. (Of course, having one's mother find all of your works and hand it all off to a shrink does not encourage further writing.) I've attempted to, on occasion, but the muse and motivation aren't there. Lately, I've considered putting my story to pen and paper, but so much of it seems like pure ego, even if I'm but a bit player in its events, and I am seldom one for ego.
