@nerthos How does it perform ? Also do you know what the R7 and R9 series perform ? I am in a peculiar financial spot where I'll probably buy a computer around X-mas. I currently have a 6950 and I am very happy with it ( the only thing it does not do well is Planetside 2, and I blame my CPU for that equally, if not more than my GPU )

@critialcloudkicker So far flawlessly. I've been running everything at max settings since 2011 and the only thing that has managed to slow down my computer was BL2's fluid physics when headshooting a goliath, since the pool of moving liquid is VERY resource intensive.

@critialcloudkicker I turned gore off and that solved the issue since without it the pools of poorly rendered liquid didn't spawn.

@critialcloudkicker If you turn off gore the only change is that headshoots just splat a bit of red and leave the model intact, and there's no fluid liquid spawned.

@nerthos I'll keep that in mind for the next time I get the excuse to play that game. Although there are chances I'll get to play BL1 in an upcoming lan-party ( game till you drop before X-mas, so we will not be tempted to touch a computer on X-mas... At least that is the idea )

@critialcloudkicker But in any case, with a Phenom 1100T the 6870 can handle pretty much anything, even GW2 at max during dragon raids or WvW

@nerthos *goes to compare benchmarks* 1100T ( yours ) : 5967 ... X4 955 ( mine ) : 4016 ... Yea... I think I found the problem :) ... If Nvidia PhysX cannot find a Nvidia card the stuff will try to render all of it over the CPU, and yours is pretty much the same as I have, but it has 2 more cores. Although I can render GW2 just fine during raids and WvW ( Although... I do not do that anymore... )
