        @boneidol @tobias well, kill -9 wont do it :( and the process is keeping a USB 'hostage'

          @mk @boneidol @tobias the process won't go away, the read light on the USB stick stays on, it cannot be unmounted - what to do?

            Have you got a file or directory open on USB filesystem still?

              @boneidol no, it now shows as unmounted in the file manager - but it's actually not inserted any more - the device just hangs around. :( I'll try on my laptop later - that's where I initialized and formatted it. But I have some higher-priority things to do first...
