So being a brony automatically makes you a furry? Huh.
Monday, 25-Aug-14 21:28:19 UTC from web-
@coltz I think being a furry requires you to make an alternate ego.
Or want to have sex with cartoon animals. -
@coltz I'm neither, but all things considered I know people who have identified as one or the other and it's not like being either makes you an intrinsically bad person.
-
@soren I have neither, thanks.
-
@coltz Would you consider yourself a furry?
-
@northernnarwhal Oh, I'm not saying that being a furry is bad. I like a cartoon about little colorful ponies, who am I to judge, right?
-
@coltz Oh yeah, I'm just agreeing with you.
-
@coltz the definitions of them are both pretty skewed, so it usually just boils down to if you want to associate with them or not
Soren likes this. -
@soren Nope. I am kinda concerned about the "brony" thing too, seems like some people (not here thankfully) treat the whole thing almost like a religion. I just so happen to really like this show, as I like several other shows. So whenever people ask "Are you X?", I halt to answer.
-
@coltz Liking and watching the show is different than being a brony at this point.
-
@ellistia shut up you gross furry B)
-
@soren No it doesn't. Geez.
-
@ellistia I suppose you're right.
-
@soren How so?
-
@coltz Being a brony includes being part of a community. Similar to watching anime does not make you a weeabo.
-
@cinnamonswirl Liking furry art is different than being a part of the furry community.
-
@soren I like most parts of the community, and it must be nice to fell like part of it. But I don't know, it's just... Some people are too extreme. It kinda scares me out of it.
-
@coltz I tend to like the furry community more than the brony community. I've been a part of both in the past- but really all the sex and porn and crazy things got to me so I backed off.
-
@soren furries beter than bornies confrims
-
@rarity HL3 CONFIRMED
-
@rarity Forgive me.
-
@soren That's my concern. I mean, there is nothing really wrong with that, they are not harming anyone with it (I guess), it's just a weird preference. I'm just not too inclined into it. Also I don't like being labeled based on what I enjoy to do or watch.
