Guardians of the Galaxy was badass

@rarity I was actually so-so on it. I mean the action wasn't bad by any means but part of me was wishing there was just something more to the film, at least in terms of substance. Perhaps I'm missing the point though.

@rarity The story just felt awfully predictable right from the get go, and while some of the action scenes were sort of pretty nothing was all that interesting. It just didn't grab me.

@northernnarwhal I feel like it wasn't a movie about the main plot, but about the characters. It was neat seeing how every single person evolved throughout the flim

@rarity Yeah, the main plot in itself wasn't even really properly finished. Not that it would be, knowing Marvel, by even bother introducing and beginning to characterize Thanos if you're not even going to do anything with him until a later film? Rocket Raccoon was cool though, I really like Bradley Cooper.

@northernnarwhal ....are you really not getting why they're developing Thanos so early? It's supposed to let everyone know "oh this dude is a bad mothergrapeser if Ronan and the aliens from Avengers 1 bow to him"

@northernnarwhal well, if you think it's wasting time, that's your opinion. I personally think that it was important exposition for the MCU universe

@rarity A lot of it is really just building up your expectations for a later film that's not even out yet.

@rarity My only problem with it is that, as far as character groups go, I like the Guardians of the Galaxy so much more than the Avengers.

@ellis oh yeah, me too times a million. I'm just happy knowing we're gonna get a GotG 2 and they'll probably be in Avengers 3 also

@rarity I went to watch a movie, not a commercial. Mind you, that being said, the action was pretty and the humour was on point. I'm not saying I wasn't entertained or that I didn't like GotG, it just wasn't spectacular and didn't really live up to the hype that was built around it.

@mrmattimation well, Thanos is obviously going to have to feature in future movies, probably Avengers 3 or GotG 2, so that's how it fits in. Remember, Thanos was at the end of Avengers 1. And since Avengers 2 will be about Ultron. IMO I think Avengers 3 will bring together every single pieces of the MCU

@mrmattimation I literally haven't seen any of the Iron Man/Thor/Hulk movies, and have yet to see Cap 2. I should probably marathon them or something
