I personally have nothing AGAINST Linux, I just think a lot of its userbase is super pretentious about how they're like "free" or "fighting the government" or "embracing communism" or something. It's like how I think My Little Pony is a good show, but I think a lot of its fans are LITERALLY THE WORST PEOPLE ON THE PLANET OH MY GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS

@mrmattimation nothing, i for one think i am an awesome person AND a mlp fan but i see what you mean about some people
-
@mrmattimation Ugh, tell me about it. My roommate is a rehabilitated Linux user /and/ Brony. It's a hard life.
-
@purplebear You like Fruits Basket so I consider you at least sort of awesome automatically.
-
@mrmattimation I'll take "What is the Sonic fanbase" for 200 Alex
RedEnchilada (notice the lack of a space) likes this. -
@pandabear thank you. i think.
-
@purplebear Yes it's a compliment.
-
@mrmattimation embracing communism is so 1920's anyways.
-
@pandabear than i thank you without the ithink
-
@awlditzy But opposing communism is so 1970s
-
@mrmattimation I dislike them too but as a system administrator Linux is just awesome to use.
-
@soren Yeah, I mean, it does have some legitimate uses, but I feel like the Linux community is flooded with people using the OS just so that they can feel "unique"
-
@mrmattimation Linux is too mainstream. If you want to feel "unique" use Haiku or MorphOS
-
@mrmattimation *installs Fedora* *tips monitor*
mehmetaergun and Someone Probably like this. -
@mrmattimation Maybe it's just me, but when I tried using Linux a lot of it felt unnecessarily complicated. You know, I'm not saying they need to dilute their product but it feels like they're deliberately trying to get people to not want to use it so the people that do feel like special snowflakes.
-
@mrmattimation Yeah- but that's more just GNU fanboys.
