@scoot Also is it weird that I want a little replica of a MP Eva with a correct-scale Spear of Longinus?

@scoot Blu ray? Oh man, why people even use that? it weights 3GB in 1080p in h264+aac compression.

@nerthos Special features maybe? Most likely though they just used bad compression + loaded it up with DRM.

@toksyuryel IDK. I can fit a movie and all th special features in a DVD, or a dual layer if that doesn't work. People are just stupid for buying such things.

@nerthos blu-ray does have value, but I'll readily agree it does not in the vast majority of cases where it is used.
Sunday, 27-May-12 21:54:13 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel Yeah, but not for movies, just for data storage.
Sunday, 27-May-12 21:56:02 UTC from web-
@nerthos A series of movies, or a compilation of them, would be a good use of blu-ray. Also a collection of tv show episodes. (all 52 episodes of MLP:FiM would fit on one single-layer blu-ray disc at 1080p)
Sunday, 27-May-12 21:58:27 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel Yup. But only guys like me who download stuff from unofficial sources fit 52 episodes in a single disk. A company won't. Companies fill a DVD with 4 episodes and DRM.
