@righteousnarwhal I can't even remember the last argument I was in here but I sure as hell don't anymore,it's not worth it. Hell, that's why I left the Skype conversation, I'm not going to argue semantics with someone who has no idea what they're talking about and can't form a valid argument.

@nethernarwhal That's the thing. One does not need to be smart or learned to be able to have a proper debate. the only requirement is to be polite and never play the offended card. It's impressive how many ignore those two rules.

@righteousnarwhal Yeah, that's basically it. Especially that second rule, the whole "I'm offended by what you said, therefore I'm ethically correct" mentality that's been floating around a lot lately is awful and needs to stop.

@righteousnarwhal Which is why I won't even bother arguing with those kind of people in the first place. It's not worth expending energy to make points that are going to fly over their head and it's also not worth having to stoop down to their level.
