        1. @righteousnarwhal Enough that I'm going to have to leave town once I move out of my parents' house.

            2. @righteousnarwhal Checking in just my town (where the cost of living is actually super high) the lowest prices I've seen are $550/mo for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom townhouse which is about 1790 square feet. Of course I don't expect that you asked that question seriously.

              1. @zeldatra Well that /is/ really high, though I expected it could be enven worse. Over here I can rent a medium house for about $300 a month.

                2. @righteousnarwhal For what my family is paying for my townhouse, you could actually get a house twice as big in the next town over. The town is a nice, wealthy suburb so the landlords all jack up the prices because they can.

                  1. @zeldatra The city where I live is pretty expensive too, so I imagine prices would be a bit higher, but other towns in the same municipality are far cheaper. My friend actually rented a room with shared kitchen and bathroom for about $30 a month like a year ago.

                    1. @righteousnarwhal You know what if I could even get a house for three times that I'd be perfectly content.
