Okay, desktop I guess (I would post my Linux one too, but that'd literally just be the wallpaper, since I don't use anything with a concept of desktop icons, and have no bars of any kind). http://ur1.ca/9enxr

@minti I use it for testing purposes. That's pretty much the only reason anything but Firefox is on there, after all. :)

@toksyuryel I actually normally have my icons switched off on Windows too. I don't like the concept particularly much, when I could just use a launcher of some kind (dmenu via Super+P on Linux, the Start->Run on steroids in the Vista/7 Start menu on Windows) and not obscure my pretty pictures during the brief times I _am_ on a plain desktop.

@toksyuryel But I switched them back on for the purposes of the desktop comparison shenanginangs.

@bitshift I turned on transparency in urxvt so I could see my pretty pictures while doing terminal work (such a chatting), which is pretty much everything I do except for when I'm using firefox or playing a game.

@toksyuryel I have very light transparency, so I'd still see something, yes. But that being switched on is a more recent development.

@bitshift Although the only reason mine's still barren is because I can't be bothered with getting conky set up on it.
