      1. @northernnarwhal That might work. A hundred years ago I might have been able to more easily find a translation. A palangana is a wide mouthed container made of tin or plastic to hold water, usually for washing things or oneself.

        1. @nerthos Yeah, when I tossed "palangana" into a translator I just got basin, so that's probably your best bet. Specifically a tin or plastic basin, as the word "basin" can also mean a geological depression where water fills.
