"You cannot have capitalism without racism." -Malcolm X
Tuesday, 25-Nov-14 02:50:25 UTC from web-
@m14brony Hey, don't go that far either. If you quoted MLK or something it'd be OK, but Malcom X was basically a terrorist. He was just as bad as any other racist, and would have killed every white person if he could.

@nerthos Of course his stupidity and bigotry would have only caused things to go back to even worse conditions for blacks than before Lincoln lol.
-
@nerthos Malcolm X actually rejected the Nation of Islam toward the end of his life and was moving in a more egalitarian direction.
-
@m14brony Many killers said "I'm sorry" as they got old and that doesn't make them any better.
-
@nerthos The founder of the Crips wrote children's books about staying away from gangs. And then got executed via lethal injection. It's funny how these things turn out.
-
@mrmattimation Consequences often offer insight, but they only come after the deed is done.
-
@mrmattimation At least he did something good before the end.
-
@nerthos At this point, you are simply clutching at straws to find an excuse to discredit him, even though he renounced such views. You also can't compare such a thing to something like murder.
-
@m14brony Not really. I simply despise racism in any side and those who support or supported it.
-
@nerthos anything considered "serious" is just racism in the end
-
@nerthos By this logic, I have no atheist "credentials" because I was raised as a Christian. By this logic, we should deride every ex-homophobe whose changed views made it possible for same-sex marriage to be legal in most of the US. Peoples' outlooks are not set in stone. A place where people are born with "perfect" beliefs is not Earth. We can easily "discredit" anyone with this line of reasoning.
-
@m14brony Someone who makes something harmful and makes no reparations can't and shouldn't be forgiven just because they changed their views. And not's get into gay marriage as we surely have absolutely opposing views that won't budge.
-
@nerthos You hereby confess to hypocritically holding bigoted views. I guess by your logic I can rightly demand that you make material reparations to LGBT people like myself! The vacuous nature of the method you have employed is exposed.
-
@m14brony are you for real

@m14brony Not really. My views are not based on personal feelings towards one or other side, but rather in large scale consequences of changes at an alarming speed. You shouldn't be so passionate and militant, instead taking time to look at things in a completely rational way. Then again, you stand to personal gain with it, so I can't really expect a third position from you.
-
@redenchilada You should ask that question to my opponent; I am simply exposing the logical conclusion of his "arguments."
-
@m14brony Red has known me for a while already and is familiar with my views. He doesn't need to ask as he knows already.
-
@m14brony lmao you're actually serious?
-
@nerthos I would like to see some credible evidence of such "alarming changes." You are simply paying lip service to logical debate methods - you aren't actually employing any of them.
-
@nerthos Personal tires do not constitute a valid argument. Not to mention his question contributes nothing to reinforce any argument.
-
@m14brony I said I won't get into it now, nor here for that matter, because it'll devolve in unnecessary drama and conflict that the site doesn't really need, plus I've explained my stance so many times it's already boring to do so, specially to people who accuse me of being evil or brand me terms they consider synonim with bad people.
-
@m14brony Throwing around terms like "bigot" without any meaning doesn't reinforce an argument either, though.
-
@m14brony It's not about ties and friendship as much as acquired knowledge in the area. As a od he had to mediate a few times on such discussions because people tend to be unnecessarily hostile when those topics are discussed.
-
@nerthos Still no arguments or evidence. Just evasion and phrase mongering.
-
@m14brony can you like please stop
-
@redenchilada He already confessed to having an opposing view to marriage equality.
-
@m14brony I think "I don't want the site to go down in flames for the eigteenth time due to a stupid discussion" is argument enough for my stance.
-
@m14brony I don't see how that disproves the argument he was making, though?
-
@nerthos And thus it is proven beyond a reasonable doubt that your contentions have no logical basis.
-
@m14brony The only thing proven here is that you are too blindly passionate about your position that you can't see beyond it.
-
@redenchilada He said he had evidence. I want to see it.
-
@nerthos I have seen you talk about proper debating in the past. Don't expect me to ever take you seriously when you don't practice what you preach. I made a simple request for evidence. I just got empty excuses.
-
@m14brony I've been in this site since september of 2011. I've seen all administrations and almost all groups of users. If there's something I've learned, is that that particular topic being openly discussed when there are more than three people around rallies the most stupid gatherings of drama queens to happen here.
-
@nerthos I have been in debates for well over a decade(anyone can say stuff like this). Saying alleged drama queens will come out of the woodwork doesn't answer anything. And if this is your line of reasoning, it would have made no sense for you to respond in the first place. Whatever your method is, it isn't debating.
-
@m14brony Neither is yours.
-
@meloetta He's still chill and a great guy, but he has become more opinionated with time. Probably due to stress.
-
@nerthos needs more alcohol.

@redenchilada Requesting evidence is contrary to good debate techniques. When did I miss that memo?
-
@m14brony Please stop. At this point you're just arguing to argue and frankly I don't want to see it.
-
@nerthos You make this sound like a serious problem. What has been done about alleged drama queens? And even if they exist, why should simple debate be avoided because of them?
-
@m14brony Not enough has been done about them, and I've never endorsed that. And it should be avoided becuase it always ends in good users getting the flak and with @ceruleanspark blaming himself and having a stress crisis. I'd rather like that not to happen.
-
@m14brony Your problem is that your argument is centered not on coming to an agreement, as good debates should be, but about proving yourself right.
