@awesam17 Nothing Wrong with... Incest?! WHAT KIND OF BLASPHEMY IS THAT>! It causes SOO many problems in ones Hormonesl and in the possibly resulting child's Genetics and Their phenotype.

@metaltao I know... Im worried for my bro sometimes
-
@awesam17 If he's your brother and he supports incest, you'd better watch out.
MetalTao likes this. -
@awesam17 I am too.

@thelastgherkin OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

@metaltao Well kinda. From a pure safety standpoint, It depends how similar the phenotypes of the parents are. Genetically healthy cousins are probably no big deal. Genetically healthy half sisters/brothers are probably, again, safe. Genes don't know about "families". The problems associated with incest arise because of similarity between the genes leading to damaging recessive traits being expressed more frequently in homozygous parings.

@ceruleanspark Man, this is pretty cool stuff! I pretty much knew about the last part, but I was assured that it went the same for all Cousins as well. And, I have to say I was actually holding a false belief for a while, the "Genes know about families" thing in a way I didn't realize. That was pretty weird.
