  1. Personally I think SAO (the first season only) was a great idea that was very, very poorly executed.

    1. @coltz Yeah, that's about where I'm ending up, too.

    2. @coltz It was a decent concept, though it's not like the theme of virtual reality as a whole hasn't been done before and done MUCH better.

      2. @northernnarwhal Yeah but in other animations at least the virtual world wasn't that bad of a threat I think. It could really explore that "if you kill someone in the game, you're really a murderer" more.

        1. @coltz Or it could take the metaphysical route and explore the very nature of reality and the dichotomy of the game world to the real world but NOOOOOOOOOOOO let's screw our cousin instead and spend half an episode regurgitating exposition in a cafe.

          1. @northernnarwhal We should call it "CEO: Café Exposition Online" instead

            1. @coltz I'm afraid of memes due to a traumatic childhood experience that was very dank, so I go on Rainbow Dash Network Online and play as a memer in order to become the greatest memer on the network and cure my irrational fear and this is all believable character development.

              1. @northernnarwhal tell me, does the "plot" thicken?

                1. @rednorth When introducing one of the major characters in the second season they literally show the viewer her ass before they show the viewer her face

                    1. @rednorth In fairness, Yoko does receive some real development and characterization later in the series

                          1. @northernnarwhal yeah, but the first two things on screen are her A** and t**s. i also forget to mention that she one very well endowed 14 year old

                            1. @rednorth But the difference is as fanservicey as Yoko is there's still a character underneath all that. Sinon has the personality of a wet paper towel.

                  3. @northernnarwhal its not the first and certainly isnt the last, the character development was ok but presentation was very amateur.(SAO in a nutshell)

                    1. @rednorth You could've just said "amateur" and it still would've been SAO in a nutshell
