    1. @scoot I've seen the first seven or so and while I do like it the internet overhyped it way too much

      1. @tiffany I thought that might be the case. It's a fine show, but it's not impacted me nearly as strongly as Gravity Falls did.

            1. @scoot Oh I'm sure I'll love it; just gotta make the daunting first step that is watching the first episode

        1. @scoot Y'know the part in TTGL after The escape the anti-spiral trap universe and Libera Me from Hell starts playing? This is that part.

          1. @ceruleanspark It didn't feel the same as that, though.

            1. @scoot That's because you're not invested in the characters.

                1. @scoot It's also a lot like Adventure Time in that it takes a long time to boot up

    3. @scoot I don't think it's a "blown away" type of show. The thing is that the show keep increasing its quality, especially after it's mid-season. Plus it leaves a lot of worldbuilding hints that has yet to be explored (much like MLP), which potential fans love to dig in and create headcanons and stuff.

    4. @scoot Steven Universe is far from the level of writing that a cartoon like Gravity Falls is on, but I enjoy the show's vibrant visual style. A lot of the settings are pretty detailed utilize an almost dreamlike colour palette. It's definitely not worth the hype surrounding it, but it's fun to casually enjoy every now and then.

      1. @northernnarwhal I think Gravity Falls has really benefited from Matt Chapman joining the team. I love Homestar Runner.
