Well, that marks two cars that I haven't bought now. This one had four different tires, scuffed up rims, and what appeared to be rust spots on the rear suspension. I know it's only $2,000, but I'd still like it to not be falling literally to pieces beneath me.

@scribus totally understandable; I wouldn't pay 2.000 for a car with different tyres all the way round unless it was otherwise spotless.

@awlelwa And my roommate said she thought she could hear an air leak in the engine, so that didn't help anything.
-
@scribus Wow. Either it ran like absolute dog batcave or it had an air pump, a few older models typically American had those.
-
@awlelwa Engine seemed pretty smooth, but I know there are tricks to make an engine run smoothly for about one test drive so I'm willing to look past that.
-
@scribus Yeah, knowing a way around cars makes one know what to expect for sure.
-
@awlelwa And having to pre-inspect the bus before I drove it every day actually has lasting benefits, despite the deep psychological scars it caused me!
-
@scribus Oh yeah, you had your pre-drive checklist, I forgot about that! My mechanical background has pretty much done the exact same.

@awlelwa Here's to job experience carrying over into life experience!
