      1. @northernnarwhal Thanks! University actually, the course was Interactive Media Design.

        1. @ellistia Oh that's pretty cool, is there any particular field you're hoping to get into from that?

          1. @northernnarwhal I honestly have no idea. The course involved so many different things, and nothing really stood out as "I wouldn't mind doing this for the rest of my life", besides maybe graphic design kinda stuff, since it can kinda intertwine with digital art which is one of the very few things I'm moderately passionate about. But even so the idea of going for a job in any of the fields we studied is hella intimidating because of the whole 'Professionally-branded CV and portfolio' which we were pushed to work on as an actual module for the course. I don't think I would really have much to show in that regard.

I keep thinking that ideally I'd want to do art for a living since I'd be doing something I enjoy and I wouldn't have to deal with people face-to-face. Though the stories I hear of how stressful it can be does put me off. And in general, realistically it doesn't feel like it's a plausible path for me to take.

            1. @ellistia Yeah, I'm going to a career college for audio engineering and a large portion of my curriculum deals with professions in the music industry, so I can certainly sympathize with the prospect of having to reconcile your passion with potentially stable employment. I myself am still not entirely sure what I'm going to end up doing when I graduate, but I'll hopefully fall into something I can enjoy doing. I guess maybe your best bet is to shoot for graphic design and continue your art on the side and see if you can work your way from there. The stress is sadly another issue entirely though, and one that is really difficult to provide any simple answers too (especially since recently I myself have been very stressed trying to balance all of my coursework with my current job).

              1. @northernnarwhal Yeah, hoping that whatever I end up getting gives me leeway to keep arting. Stress nearly cost me my degree on more than one occassion (basically telling myself to give up, etc.) so it's probably going to be something I just have to deal with whatever happens.

                1. @ellistia Yeah, in a lot of cases stress is sort of unavoidable, I think for me the joy when I'm actually still able to finish everything in spite of my stress or just having an artistic outlet to put my stress into is what really keeps me going.
