    • @ellistia I didn't know you switched to the Slosher in Splatoon!

    • @northernnarwhal If only I knew what that was! Or had the game! ;;

    • @ellistia Wait, you have a Wii U and don't have Splatoon?

    • @northernnarwhal One of the very few people, it seems. When it came out I was preoccupied with a bunch of PS3 games that I'd had for ages and not played. I wanted to finish them so I could replace the console with a PS4 and play Bloodborne. I could have got it afterward... but really the only reason I would have got it is because of the hype train when it first came out. Otherwise it does not intrigue me enough to get it at this stage unfortunately :c

    • @ellistia I feel like I'd definitely recommend the game to any fan of action games, but it's understandable to not be intrigued by it. Taking it for what it is (team based third-person-shooter/action game with focus on online multiplayer) it's certainly pretty far from "my kind of game", but I picked it up anyway because I was in the mood for something new and absolutely loved the designs/artwork for the game. If my profile image wasn't indicative enough I ended up really loving the game, both for its unique take on a saturated genre and for its fantastic aesthetic design choices, not to mention its great sense of personality. The game has admittedly been very hyped, but it actually managed to get me back into gaming earlier this year since before I started playing it I hadn't really been doing much gaming at all aside from the occasional pickup game of Smash here and there. But hey, not being interested is totally fine too, at the end of the day just play what you wanna play.

    • @northernnarwhal Mhm. I feel like it's something I would have enjoyed a lot for a while, but soon get bored of it. Then again they did the thing where they add something new like every week, so who knows. I don't doubt that did at least miss out on something pretty great in any case. I'm just glad I don't feel pressured into playing it just because everyone else is, cause that would be annoying if I had the game and had gotten bored of it. Instead I can just be like "oh well, I don't have the game so there's nothing I can do about it" :P

    • @ellistia Yeah, obviously my knee-jerk reaction with things I like is to nag other people to check them out but recently I've been trying to draw a better line between "recommending" and "pressuring", and while I wasn't able to put the game down when I had it your experience with it might be totally different. And yeah, you don't have to play stuff just because it's popular either. Lots of my offline friends really love playing League of Legends and have tried to get me into it but after playing it for a bit I just couldn't get into it at all, I got really bored really quickly playing it.
