        @skellythos I don't know much about it, but I have a friend really into epic fantasy literature and it's one of his favourite book series. I actually have a copy of the first book sitting in my basement that he gave to me to read (which I never did >:D)

            @skellythos I can't personally vouch for the series, but my friend tends to be a good authority on these kinds of books. He got me into A Song of Ice and Fire before the Game of Thrones show became a thing and everyone got into it.

                  @northernnarwhal I still haven't read any of the books. I was REALLY uninterested in the whole thing after the show came out because the commercials made it seem like it was about sex. I only started watching because my father brought the first season on DVD and I had nothing to do.

                        @mushi I've never really at all been into epic fantasy novels, though I've enjoyed the Song of Ice and Fire books that I have read. I think I find George R. R. Martin's absolutely unbridled confidence in his prose and world building kind of viscerally fascinating.
