@onetimepad hey, can you help me again? You know if there is any diffetence between 思 and 想? I asked my teacher and she started tslking about comunism...

@skellythos yeah, once she started talking about kanji and suddenly she was talking about WWII
-
@mushi haha :D That's a funny story! Hmm I'm no expert, but my GUESS would be that 想 means a broader concept or idea, like "communism"...
-
@onetimepad that is what i thought, but it is hard to know what she is trying to say

@mushi that's so funny, given that she has been living in your country for such a long time now ^^ But I think it's good that you ask her.
-
@mushi Maybe she realizes that she should improve her portuguese(?) and puts more effort into it. :->
-
@onetimepad she is already in her 60's, it would probably be hard for her

@mushi One is almost "young" at age 60 nowadays, and it's never too late to learn more about the language of the country you live in :-)
-
@mcscx2 yeah, it sure would be real good fot her to learn it better. The pro lems is that portuguese has a much wider fonetics than japanese, and training your tongue to making new sounds at that age would be a bit tricky

@mushi actually, that id the goos thing about being native br portuguese speaker. It has a much wider fonetics than mosy of the mainstream languages, so it is easier to speak them not so poorly.
-
@mushi thought i still strugle to make the english r sound natural.
-
@mushi That r sound is rather an anomaly so is no surprise. I can't really do that naturally either.
-
@pomawlgranate people from são paulo speaks some Rs like that, but i live pretty far from there, in an area that is said to be accent free
-
@mushi That would have to sound really weird. I think the english r sounds weird in English for land's sake!
-
@pomawlgranate yeah, they are usually made fun of bacause of that
-
@mushi I just found out that japonskiy-くん has already answered, but on twitter: "違いはほとんどないです。^^
でも、「想う」という言葉には「恋しい」感情が含まれていると思います" -
@mushi I also noticed that the #twitter-bridge might "backfire", when someone on GNUsocial has the same name like some other person there.
-
@onetimepad あっ、ごめん、答えを見ませんでした.ありがとう^^
