    The difference in quality between the first Eye Toy camera and the second (smaller) is huuuuge. The image tearing on the first is unacceptable. The only plus for the first is that you can use it to make macro photos because you can slide the lens to create an extreme small focal length.

          @adiwan I always wanted one actually... Kinda makes me wonder now if there are PC&Webcam based games that work with the same gimmick

          ( I have no idea where my PS2 is right now, nor where I could pick up that game&hardware )

            @critialcloudkicker The Eye Toy is rather inexpensive. You can get the camera and and a game for under 10€. There are PC games that clone the eye toy game but they are very poor in quality.

              @adiwan You are undervalueing the power of German flea-markets, or underestimating the greedyness of the used-products on the Dutch market just a little bit methinks. no matter :) I'll just be patient and keep my eyes peeled for a good deal.

                    @critialcloudkicker Probably not. The eye toy is not such a good accessory. Definitely not a must-have.

                      @adiwan Hmm, what are you talking about ? That just the eye-toy is a cheap accessory anyway ? I figure I need one if I want to play eye-toy games on the PS2 ?

                        @critialcloudkicker I mean that the eye toy games are not soo great in my opinion. I have the eye toy cameras because I found them really, really cheap. It's a gimmick with not a lot of long-lasting gameplay value. The first party eye toy games are average at best.
