  1. The GL-AR150 is a micro-router with wireless/repeater, and separate uplink and downlink ports that costs less than £20 and runs OpenWRT out of the box. Definitely worth considering if you're into that kind of thing

      1. @scribus This thing is pretty great actually. You can also opt for a version with an external antenna for better coverage, and, my favourite feature: You can attach a USB webcam to it and use it as a ghetto IP camera

          1. @scribus If you've still got your old Raspberry Pi, you can get a night-vision equipped, motion sensing camera for that for like $10. Stick one of those portable cellphone batteries in it, build a lego enclosure and throw it in a bush somewhere
