anyone who non-ironically says cuck is on my list
-
@vriska
>doesn't like the word cuck
cuck detected.
checkmate, cucks.RDN's Lucifer likes this. -
@moonman that's pretty much the extent of alt-right "logic"
-
@vriska hold on while I spam you with 10,000 pepe images

@moonman Be careful not to devaluate them
-
@moonman absolutely insufferable tbh
-
@vriska for me it depends on who they're attacking.
-
@moonman for me its a showing of how little anyone understands about anything
-
@vriska there's different tiers, there's shock troops that attack and demoralize, they are basically beer-hall putschers. There's other people that write interesting stuff.
-
@eris @moonman @vriska here is a handy info-graphic to illustrate the differences https://freezepeach.xyz/attachment/114824

@vriska not implying that I am alt-right or I agree with nearly all any of them say. But like Marx, I think _some_ of the criticism of the current environment is spot-on.
-
@moonman Criticism is fine, but the level of meme spouting 16 year olds who just got off the /b/oat makes the entire movement a big joke
-
@vriska gonna be honest, I wouldn't underestimate them even if a huge number are meme-spouting doofus sixteen year olds that like saying "n*gger"
-
@moonman Hey don't diss that word! it's one of the fist english words I learnt to pronounce properly
-
@moonman Yeah, there's no real reason to underestimate them because as this election cycle has shown, 16 year old memeboys are just slightly smarter than the people they're convincing to vote for their cause. That doesn't mean that as a well-educated but apolitical individual I have to take them seriously. If I wanted low tier memes and folksy racism I'd watch disney movies
-
@vriska I could go in a lot more detail but basically they represent a true right wing ala European nationalism, not the milquetoast degenerate progressive of 20 years ago American right wing of today. They have the capability to do things that the current establishment right-wing never would do, and that's something that progressives should be scared of.
-
@vriska I'm not sure I'll convince you, but this is just my thoughts on the matter.
-
@moonman I see what you're saying, but I reckon after fascism ends up in the USA come november people will turn out in full force to try to fix it 8 years later
-
@vriska Very few people on the alt-right take seriously how powerful the federal government is compared to the 1960's, and how weak the alt-right is compared to people opposed to civil rights. Basically only the neoreaction people understand that and that is why they don't engage at all with any of this. They just write and cloister.
-
@vriska btw I believe while the alt-right is all-in for Trump, he's not hardly fascist and I don't think they'll actually have that much sway over his policy. It's wishful thinking on their part. Trump would do some seriously extreme things in a couple areas, but a lot of the stuff he wants to do is literally Democratic Party platform circa 1993.
