Man the only real complaint I have with the z320 is that the screen is reflection city, but the iPhone and the iPad are just the same until you get a screen protector on it. Hopefully I can grab one.
-
@maiyannah No "outdoors mode"? my samsung j7 has that and it completely negates reflection even at noon. (indoors I use it at 10% brightness or so though)
-
@nerthos It has a pretty good thing that adapts to lighting but the underlying Android doesn't let it go up past a certain brightness (in much the same way it nags you about putting volume too loud).
-
@nerthos That said this phone holds its own against an iPhone 4S and has better wifi and more storage space.
And I bought it for 40 (phone) + 30$ (case) + 22$ (SDHC card, 32MB) = 92$ compared to the 4S' 450$ price tag now let alone the full MSRP when it was released, I can't complain much. -
@maiyannah Huh. Well, mine has no auto brightness or anything, but it has that mode I mentioned that basically pushes brightness to the most the leds can stand so you can see something under direct sunlight.
-
@nerthos I'm sure there's a setting somewheres I can apple with to overcome the software limiter.
-
@nerthos Still, this is a smartphone I got for 92$ altogether and this is my only complaint, so colour me impressed.

You can even make it look like you're using some LCD-based thing from the 90s.
No idea why but thems be options. -
@maiyannah Why people buy those overpriced things when there's so many alternatives is anyone's guess. I paid about $350 for my j7 (which is expensive in the international market, but cheap in the local market) and it's superior to that Acer in every way except cost/performance relation where the Acer is much better. So yeah, don't buy apple.

@nerthos Its a solid ass phone. If I had the money I'd've probably gone for the ASUS one, I've heard a Fluffle Puffton of good things and it has a smaller version of their gaming monitor panel on it which I know from best-friends-computer-envy is pretty freaking sweet. Samsung's are also good.
Man I hope the Fairphone gets better specs soon, that'd about clinch it if we can have modular open hardware to go with the software though.
