This really annoys me about grapeposter.club and gnusocial as a whole actually.
OP has made a genuinely funny post. I really laughed when I saw it. It made me giggle.
It's good natured fun. It's not attacking other nations or trying to troll. It's just a nice, funny post that required wit and intelligence. It also employs a reference that everyone might not get, but that makes it even better - as it's more specific.
It's a true 8.5/10 post. It ticks all the right boxes.
But that's not what annoys me.
What annoys me is the lack of replies. I see posts on the timeline ranking 'Olympic waifus' with hundreds of post. Generic troll posts. SLC posts that insult other races. They all will max out to 500 posts. But this? This will fade away.
And that's not even the worst part. The worst part is that OP might not want to make another post again after this. We might lose his creative spark.

@rw You should join another node where funny posts are banned and only the consistency of oatmeal is discussed.

@rw It's an issue with quality cherryposting: it is often just silently appreciated, as it's hard to think of something to reply with to a great joke other than "that was funny". With crappy posts it's so much easier to match the level of the original post and keep it going. In the same way that a random person will join a game when someone says "we need one more guy, you in?" but won't join a professional game eve if offered. When joining something regular, you don't care if your contribution is good or not, when trying to join something great, you refuse unless you're capable of matching the other.
