  1. IMO the start to fix it is going back to heavy screening and social requirements for teachers so kids have actual role models.

    1. @nerthos the fix is to remove the public educational system and go back to the student/mentor system. either that or a complete rework of public education designed to teach young men without sitting them in classes for hours on end

      1. @delores I disagree. The student mentor system, while good in many ways, also absolutely sucks in many others.

    2. @nerthos But if you have good teachers you cant have your schools be propoganda centers, which is exactly what the governments putting those kind of policies in place where you have low quality teachers want.

      1. @maiyannah Again why I always say it shouldn't be in the hands of the state, but an unaffiliated, self-purging institution that aims for academical excellency.

        1. @nerthos Honestly the state schools and health care should exist as a minimal safety net, not the primary place people go for education or treatment.

          1. @maiyannah To be fair the state schools were amazing over here decades ago, they just got completely desvirtuated by decades of stupid policies and lowering the bar from the ministry of education.

            1. @nerthos @maiyannah To the point most people would rather go for state schools than private ones due to the quality of education. Now's the opposite.
