@shpuld People here in general don't own long underwear and freak out when the temperature goes down past 0º which is quite silly

@takecherryakenji somewhat true, but not being scared of cold is partly due to actually knowing how to dress properly against it, and not only willpower

@shpuld "There is no bad weather, only bad gear (clothing)."

@shpuld I usually wear long underwear and common jeans in winter. Then again I get >30ºC in summer so I can't properly get used to the cold. I tend to wear too much most of the year just to be able to stand the summer.
-
@nerthos long underwear is overkill for most cold weather anyway, most winters I don't need that at all when I'm not spending that long (hours) outside, even if it goes far below <20 C
-
@shpuld Fair point. I don't like heating the house too much because of that.
-
@nerthos fair enough, for me long underwear is annoying because it gets too hot very fast when you get inside again, so better just deal with having slightly colder legs outside
-
@nerthos Holy dole, I'm straight up watching a show about fire whirls right now.

@thelastgherkin They're cool

@shpuld Oh. Yeah, I live in an owned house so usually the struggle is with my parents' preference for slightly too hot. More clothes is better than more heating, no argument about that.
