The fact that people will actually take that above as a serious statement and not an obvious joke is a problem.-

@maiyannah My dad's side came from Szechuan and my mom's side came from Anhui.
That's about the extent I know. Obviously being not that high class or rich, we didn't exactly keep many records of our ancestry.-
@maiyannah Nowadays a lot of my family on both sides are clustered in Beijing.
Hence why I'm well aquatinted with the... Silent Hill esque air.-
@gameragodzilla I lived very briefly in Chengdu back when I worked in the corporate world, it was nicer than Shanghai by a considerable margin though still very urban compared to here.

@maiyannah Ah neat. I've been there. My dad grew up in a small town called Neijiang. I've only actually been there once myself though.
How was the food? Sichuan as a reputation for very spicy food. I quite like it. My dad, bizarrely, does not. lol-
@gameragodzilla Part of the reason I like the Mandarin is they have some of the things from there I like. They made really nice ... I forget the name but like this spiced pork thing over soft noodles with a sauce that was just basically the best thing to happen to food.

@maiyannah Ha nice. There's a place in my area that, every Chinese New Year, there's a major dinner that serves Sichuan food, though I don't remember if it had what you're talking about. I mainly ate a lot of spicy beef. heh

@gameragodzilla Haha I guess so. I actually plan to treat myself by heading there, never did for my birthday and its still there, but Ill let my new meds settle first in case they change what foods I can eat.

@gameragodzilla Too early to tell really if they'll have significant side effects but nothing that was like right away or anything.
