        @purplephish20 At some point during the last conservative government, the UK's mental health system was dismantled. They closed down all the dedicated mental hospitals and put a lot of mental health professionals out of business. This, followed by the labour government spending 15 years burying the NHS in middle managers and targets mean that not only are there no doctors available, you need to fill out a mountain of paperwork to find that out.

            @purplephish20 Well, I'd suggest tailoring the literature to the disease you're trying to treat. Most healthy people balk at filling out 37 page forms, and depressives aren't exactly known for their motivation. It feels like they're just trying to set up hurdles to put me off getting treatment.
