@abigpony @nerthos As am i. I just also dont like a few bands stylistically... as far as i'm aware, that's allowed considering i listen to pretty much everything...i think the only genres i genuinely cant like are Black and Death Metal, and even then i cant pinpoint why.

@cavatina I can't identify subgenres, so I pretty much listen to every genre as long as the song is good. Except with some "joke genres" like "cumbia villera" and "reggaeton" that are pretty much a blight here.

@nerthos Yeah, i kinda only classify those by genre because everything i've heard that i dont like in the Metal genre, has fallen into those categories. Other than that set of music, i just judge music on a per song basis now, it's much easier than saying which genre i like, just say which songs i like. Besides, with so much genre fusion happening now, it's even harder to say you definitely like the entirety of a genre now.

@cavatina Today I was talking with a friend, she wanted to download more of certain genres since her folders for those were pretty empty. I can't find anything in a folder organized by genres, so I just organize by band and disk. And there are some I don't even know if they /have/ a genre, like the Homestuck OSTs.

@nerthos Heh, yep. I just organise my folders by Year, and within those Artist, and within that, Album. The only exception to this is Compilations, which i do just throw in a genre folder, because they generally are all the same thing.

@cavatina I should totally download and organize more stuff, because what I have is either a couple songs, not enough to make a folder, or some complete collections. For example the megadeth folder has only like, 6 classics. http://ur1.ca/a0r2i

@nerthos But yeah...i just listen to all music, and work out what i like from that. It's why my library to outside eyes would probably seem extremely peculiar.

@abigpony Alongside the fact i genuinely cant stand all the stuff he's put out since Rust in Peace. I'm just tired of him in general which removes all the willpower i had to listen to stuff i only kinda liked. I never understood the hype the fans put out about Megadeth, but Peace Sells was definitely a good album...
