  1. Until today I was unconvinced that traditional animation would be viable in a Netflix show. Not only has Disenchantment proven me wrong, it surpasses Futurama in visual quality.

    2. @mrmattimation I do love the 2.5D backgrounds although I have found some parts of the character animation a bit stiff (mainly the premiere)

      1. @tiff The characters move around a lot more than Futurama at least, and there’s usually more frames when they do too (but not always—first couple of episodes in particular were kinda typical of a Rough Draft-produced animation), plus a bunch of it is on ones. I adored the backgrounds, too, I think painted textures and shading on the CGI as opposed to flat colors and cel shading was a nice touch.
