            1. @critialcloudkicker why would a reflex hammer need latex to begin with

              1. @thebackroundpony reflex hammers used to be made with a latex head. History thought the medical sector around the world that latex free reflex hammers were preferred for a lot of reasons. Since this one is latex free, it is mentioned in the product-details.

                    1. @pony That must really suck. Well about as much as having a significant other having any sort of allergy really. Are there any special precautions you must keep at the back of your head ? such as "do not cook with latex gloves" and "check the silicone cupcake forms whether they have been made with or without 10-20% latex" ?

                      1. @critialcloudkicker yeah. I mean she thinks about it more than I do. I'm just fortunate she's observant. xD food prepared with latex gloves usually is okay, but we still ask people to use other kinds usually.

                        1. @pony I guess that I am fortionate to work in the kitchen of a retired community where no-one is allergic to latex, there are however quite a few allergic to dairy, honey, grapes, nuts, paprika, and virtually all of them seem to be allergic to the vegetables you can see with the naked eye.

                          1. @critialcloudkicker well that's silly. Veggies make them feel good.

                            1. @pony Think if you will of spagetthi sauce. You make that with tomato-paste and whatever strikes your fancy. And lastly add meatballs to the concoction. After dinner when the dirty plates come back there are A LOT of dirty plates with huge amounts of food still on it, mostly between all the vegetables. Now if I simply blended the stuff before I added the meatballs all the plates are devoid of any foodstuffs.

                              1. @critialcloudkicker For some reason it reminds me of how old people lose their taste buds as they get older.

                                1. @pony Oh, yea, you can serve them bacon and tell them it's baked chicken strips. It's fun, it allows you to smuggle with the ingedients a whole lot. And seen as some of my co-workers are oblivious to price when ordering what they need from our supplier. It allows us to keep in buisness, instead of going belly up. Seriously, 40 Euro for 20 cans of hotdogs ? Who made that order ?

                                  1. @critialcloudkicker I haven't worked much with older folks, but it's something I've been interested in trying out. Maybe I'll volunteer sometimes.

                                    1. @pony Try not to be discouraged by the first war-vet that walks up to you and goes all high and mighty that he had better beans and gravy from a combat-ration. Instead, next time he shows up for his order give him a combat-ration and some hot water. Now we are buds, or at least friendly

                                      1. @critialcloudkicker haha. That sounds like an awesome idea. I'll keep that in mind.

                                        1. @pony Seriously though, if you are going to get some combat-rations, keep a few for yourself. They are like semi-cheap instant-meals that do not taste half bad compared to other instant stuff, providing you have quick access to some herbs spices and perhaps condiments.
