  1. Even though the country (hell the world even, most of it at least) is dead on a Sunday, I love Sunday roasts, can't wait until ours is ready!

    1. @leonkfox OH MAN me too. Though we're having chicken today which is my least favourite. What are you having?

      1. @thelastgiraffekin Chicken on this end as well, as well as some not so tender left over beef from before. How can you not like chicken though? :O The only one I don't care for is Pork XD

        1. @leonkfox I didn't say I didn't like chicken, it's just pretty low on the list. Beef is the absolute best and means YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS, pork is great and means CRACKLING, turkey is an absolute dream of special occasions, and compared to all those chicken is just lame. (I don't eat lamb because of compulsions.)

          1. @thelastgiraffekin Lamb used to be OMG GIMME GIMME FAVE FAVE FAVE!!!111" for me, but not so much anymore. Beef is absolutley amazing when cooked right and the joint is good (which can be something of a gamble) turkey is a tad dry, but it's great for special occasions like Christmas IMO. I do tend to have chicken even on that day though XD

                1. @leonkfox One of my cousins has a fryer, we do it for Thanksgiving & Christmas at his place. Also tend to do a Coca-Cola basted ham. High-calorie madness. !noms

                  1. @scribus Coca Cola basted ham? That's gotta be up there with the Scots' deep fried Mars bars XD I think I'll stick to pork sandwhiches on Christmas Eve and Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day :P

                    1. @leonkfox Christmas Eve is tamales for us. What, exactly, is Christmas Dinner? The way you use it, it seems to be a standard.

                      1. @scribus Christmas Dinner is usually turkey, sprouts, devils on horseback, and a variety of vegetables such as brocolli, peas, boiled potatoes, roast potatoes... It's a British institution!

                        1. @thelastgiraffekin Dig it. What are devils on horseback?

                          1. @scribus Tiny little sausages wrapped in tiny little bacon rashers. A.k.a.'d as "pigs in blankets", which is ADORABLY delicious.

                            1. @thelastgiraffekin Adorably delicious is right up there with magically delicious. And I am NOT going to lick Twilight Sparkle to see if she's "adorably magically delicious."

                      2. @scribus Why yes, it is indeed standard. You should check it out sometime this upcoming Christmas :P

                        1. @leonkfox Most Americans don't even have Sunday dinners. It's so sad. :( Also they don't have blackcurrants.

                          1. @thelastgiraffekin Sunday dinners in America is one of those things that are "traditional" on paper, sometimes observed in more ... rustic areas. But, unfortunately, you're right - most folk these days probably know it from movies, if at all.

                            1. @scribus You don't know what you're missing. Your assignment for this week, my faithful student, is to prepare a delicious roast dinner for next Sunday.

                          2. @thelastgiraffekin I knew about Sunday roasts not being very common in the States, but no blackcurrants? That is pretty sucky :(

                        2. @leonkfox I do believe I may. :)
