And also Virginia, during the months of August to October, can you not get pounded with a hurricane like you have for the past two years? I left Florida for a reason.

@zeldatra Does anybody ever really LIKE Florida?
Monday, 06-May-13 22:57:16 UTC from web-
@flamingpandaomg ME.

@xeleanorxrigbyx Bah, I knew there was something weird about you. I just never assumed it'd be your taste in states. :p
Monday, 06-May-13 22:59:24 UTC from web-
@flamingpandaomg I grew up in Ohio and live in Oklahoma. Neither one has much going for it. At least Florida has oceans and things to do. Also, warms.

@xeleanorxrigbyx I've been in Oklahoma before. It was about as boring as Missouri was. But at least OK was peaceful. Missouri's just filled drunk hillbillies in the country or a**es in the city. :|

@flamingpandaomg Sounds exactly like where I'm at, to be honest. Maybe you found a nice part of OK.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:02:12 UTC from web-
@xeleanorxrigbyx It wasn't Oklahoma City or anything. It was a smaller town where my grandma used to live. Super peaceful, and a lot of people didn't even use cars. We saw a caravan of like 10 people on horses just mozyin' on by.

@flamingpandaomg That actually sounds pretty awesome. Tulsa is pretty much lame though. I'm trying to get out of here as soon as possible.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:04:03 UTC from web-
@xeleanorxrigbyx I wouldn't blame you. I'm pleading with you though, don't go to Missouri. If you think Tulsa is bad, you have no idea how bad rural Missouri is. :|

@flamingpandaomg I can only imagine. I've only been to MO once and we visted Branson. That was.... quite a trip.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:06:14 UTC from web-
@xeleanorxrigbyx ..yeah. Branson's a super-popular tourist attraction. Pretty much all we have, except for Jefferson City if you want to count a capitol as somewhere to visit..
Monday, 06-May-13 23:07:15 UTC from web-
@flamingpandaomg I was a bit amazed at how big a tourist trap it was. I couldn't imagine living in that town. Apparently people compare it to Vegas...
Monday, 06-May-13 23:08:17 UTC from web-
@xeleanorxrigbyx .... lmao. Branson's about as close as Missouri will get to Vegas, but I wouldn't touch Branson with a ten-foot pole. The only one thing I enjoyed tourist-attraction wise, was Silver Dollar City when I was a kid.

@flamingpandaomg I don't think I'd go back. Only thing I really enjoyed there was a dueling pianos bar called Ernie Biggs. I just remember traffic being a nightmare. Luckily I had the excuse that I couldn't drive stick yet or else I wouldn't have gone anywhere.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:10:51 UTC from web-
@xeleanorxrigbyx It's a nightmare. The only thing I'll give my town right now is that it's incredibly peaceful here since all of our neighbors are old people and keep to themselves.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:12:18 UTC from web-
@flamingpandaomg I suppose there's something to be said for that. I would go a bit crazy. I always have to have something to do and I can't stand to be stuck in my apartment.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:14:17 UTC from web-
@xeleanorxrigbyx Then thank god you're not in this house. xD I've been unemployed since my ex screwed me over last October, and I've been broke since. I've been stuck here trying to find things to do. I'm starting to get stir-crazy.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:15:13 UTC from web-
@flamingpandaomg You've a stronger resolve than I. I hit stir crazy mode about a day in.

@flamingpandaomg It's nice when it isn't getting raped by tropical cyclones. Not a place for kids though; the education system down there is garbage.
Monday, 06-May-13 22:58:59 UTC from web-
@zeldatra Don't send them to Missouri then. We're probably faring much worse.
Monday, 06-May-13 22:59:58 UTC from web-
@flamingpandaomg The area that I used to live in had its schools closed last year.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:00:48 UTC from web-
@zeldatra Ours closed back in 4th grade because the entire school had a horrible mold infestation. We were allowed to choose to just not go, or go, but if we did we had to go to the local church and sit in a cramped room.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:02:33 UTC from web-
@flamingpandaomg Wow. The school I went to closed (years after I left) because there weren't enough students. That part of town was essentially a retirement village.
Monday, 06-May-13 23:04:24 UTC from web-
@zeldatra I think my high school's going to close soon, actually (I already graduated). When I went we had 300 kids pre-K through 12th grade, and that's after pulling kids from the 6 nearby towns.
