If I end up getting a PS4 or Xbox One, it'll probably be the latter, since now with both consoles you have to pay for online, and I already have an Xbox Live Gold membership.

@xeleanorxrigbyx I won't pre-order anything yet. I want to be sure, Sony gets all the good RPGs and we all know how much I love those so It's most possible I get a PS4. Also Persona 5 is most likely a PS4 exclusive.

@bowandlyre I was completely turned off to the Xbone when they started going on about the always online crap and whatnot. I realize they'd done a complete 180 at this point but for me the damage is done.

@xeleanorxrigbyx I try not to choose one company and stick with them because they're not always the best choice. If I stuck with brand loyalty I'd be buying a Wii U and that's not gonna happen any time soon.

@scoot My reasoning is that I have an Xbox 360 which I assume will still support online play for years after the One is released, if the original Xbox was any indication, and which I will continue to use if I buy a next gen console. By buying a One, I don't have to pay for two services. I just pay for the one Gold service which I can use for both consoles.

@zeldatra But the monthly cost thing is so minor when you consider that you're literally paying $100 more to own the Xbox One and you're even getting an inferior system to boot. You have all that mandatory Kinect nonsense going on and things look and play better on the PS4 than on the Xbone. Whatever man it's your money but it's just so obviously the wrong choice that it riled me up

@scoot I actually kind of realized my miscalculation. I went under the assumption that Playstation Online would cost the same as XbLive, but then I realized that it's f***in' Sony, it'll probably be like 9.99 or something.

@xeleanorxrigbyx I'm honestly more of a Nintendo guy when it comes to console loyalty. So I already own a Wii U. At the moment it has no games but in Fall is when the console will really take off.
