@broniebrown The problem with clear-thinking people would be that as soon as you try to make a statement where people are on opposide sides of the fence ( religion, abortion, guns, healthcare ) the research of [subject] will be blamed and flamed and whatnot into an oblivion... But I guess we all can agree that we are on the "sicks suck" side of the fence, phun indended

Oh hey, I won a culture victory in Civ5 while sort of actually doing something else entirely... I guess the hoarding of paintings and such pays off :D ... @broniebrown Now hold a hoof stomping minute. Just because someone paid someone to make something does not make the commissioner the sole benefactor for the work in question. You do not go thank George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln for Mount Rushmore now do you ? Pretty sure you have to thank Lincoln Borlum and Gurzon Borglum for that

@mrmattimation My issue with it was that Windows 8 RTM rubbed me wrong, very wrong. First off, why would I even want to learn an OS that quite honestly flopped ? Next thing you know Microsoft is announcing Windows 9 http://pny.lv/371r , another reason to hold back on Windows 8 from my perspective. Now should you ask what Windows 8 did wrong, here's a couple of things. It has a split personality, trying to cater to both traditional mouse/keyboard users and touch-input users. The UI just feels like it was a step backwards to incorporate both methods and a "new" feature such as syncing wallapers. Hot Corners irk me a WHOLE lot. Another thing is really just "because everyone is doing it", and I am talking about product integration. Google and Apple have a giant leg up on what Microsoft is offering currently and for some reason it is ( deliberately ? ) hard to just say "nah, I think I will use google stuff instead" without saying "stupid paperclip, go away"

@mrmattimation If they solved all the issues from Win 8 RTM. Then yes. But still then, any and all issues where you'd lose data is HELL if it is on any form of automatic management
