@narwhal I'd laugh like Bender during and after that movie :)
-
@adiwan Ironically Duke Nukem 3D ( and other games on the Build engine ) and Doom ( and other games on the ID Tech 1 engine ) are ALL better than CoD in the first place :)

Some things are so bad they have to be shared XD ... Here goes "What is so bad about PC is that you have to be a nerd to use it.And i don't hang out with nerds cause xbox players are cool.Nobody playd competitive call of duty on PC...they only play it on xbox plus you can use gunnars on xbox. Keyboard has too many keys to press which makes you slower at firing a gun.Why turn your camera with arrow keys when you can use a control stick." (verbatim) ... that made me smile :)
-
@ceruleanspark ... Once again... context is everything.
-
@narwhal We'd probably watch it for very similar reasons then
-
@tiffany Isn't there an English library online for Seus or something ?
-
@tiffany I am from Europe, as such I never had the original books. How do you reckon I can read those ?
-
@mrmattimation 3 words that not be used next to eachother.
-
@narwhal I'd watch Evangeddidon :)
-
@tiffany Is that the Dr Seus one ?
-
I seem to hear a truckload of freudian slips today. I wonder if someone build a brainwave jammer or something. That or a large enough electro-magnet. I wonder what could be worse.
-
@mushi Sanic is the fastest blue ball alive ?
-
@tiffany You're as slick as a salesman ? or as slick as a sponsored youtube-star ? http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/835350
-
@tiffany That sounds like a dollarshaveclub oneliner.

You know what, I think Vee is right. I would commission a painting of a someone walking back and forth in their own house, visually bored out of their mind, him/her in the background, and in the foreground a phone with Twitter installed.

@metaltao In the future I might take my computer(ebook) appart and do computer(software) stuff with it that go outside of the scope of the original intent of the computer(ebook) because it is running Linux. If possible that is, because it might run on EEPROM(magic black computer bricks) rather than something more serviceable that I can actually get my hands into.
-
So aparently this Irex Illiad ebook I have right now has a 8.1 inch screen, a 400 MhZ processor, and is running linux ( kernel 2.4 ) ... As such, if the device is still alive after I eventually replace it ( or one of my familymembers wants it ) I should be able to turn it into something cool. Well, that is if I can ever get some screwdrivers to open the backplate and after that find something like serviceable components. If it boots off nothing but EEPROM and ROM I do not think I can do anything with it. Then again I never saw the insides of an ebook.

Watching MundaneMatt reacting to the Gawker vs Hogan case is fun, even if I know less on the topic than the science behind plate tectonics.

@redenchilada Maybe a little bit too blunt to be funny in my opinion. Then again I find "Save a tree, burn a book" to be funny.
-
@redenchilada Like those awesome "Armstrong" ones ? Hell yea, I'd like one of those. Although probably with the text "Sanders V Trump 2016, make it happen !" ... But mostly because I think that would be the funniest to behold, and because you could use pretty much the same voice for both when doing impressions.
-
@dashieracer92 Oh, I remember that, it's awesome :)

Today I learned that when you call someone a batcavey, the Potato Knishesy part is shorthand for pusillanimous... Knowledge :) ... Pusillanimous means coward, faint-hearted, timid, lacking courage or resolution, or indicating a cowardly spirit

Today I Learned : μtorrent ( also known as Utorrent ) has officially added itself to the list of bad programs. Bad programs that I'll actively denounce instead of just recommend for replacement when asked. Apparently the machine I was trying to rescue from the hands of their user had a bit of a "Potential Unwanted Program" and otherwise virus-like problems. And since the user really wanted μtorrent I did some digging. Apparently μtorrent really likes to install HEUR and OpenCandy. I am sorry, but that will just not fly with me. Not to mention advertisements that try to play audio give me the heebiejeebies.

I wonder if "Rats br Dr. Bre" would sell well.

I am so BoHoHoHored T_T
-
@nerthos Yes that happned. I thought it was common ( repressed ) knowledge

@taknamay I think I might have misinterpeted in hindsight. Do I think anyone deserves to have be villified for what they believe or do not believe ? Not at all. However it is so easy to start seeing the inequality and possible malicious intent that some organisations cause. And in turn the people who affiliate themselves with said organisations are "evil" or worse. Scientologists for instance are considered "brainwashed" by outsiders, Christian churches are considdered a waste of tax money by atheists and agnostics. Humanity will probably be forever be susceptible to perceived inequalities on an individual level. But I have high hopes that one day we can forgo such petty labelings and antics. Should one day people become as thirsty for knowledge and information on the same level as (dumb) TV is craved today, I guess that would be the day :)
-
@taknamay I for one would be more interested in the reasoning behind the answer than the poll-data alone. "I am ohkay with the NSA spying on people because they stop terrorism" would be a way different rationalization than "I am ohkay with the NSA spying on people because good people have nothing to hide". or even the dreaded oversimplification "I am ohkay with it because I have nothing to hide"
