@ellieellie I don't know if I have a definitive favourite noise rock band but they're easily in my top 3 or so, they're in a total league of their own. There are very few bands in any genre that can even hold a candle to their energy.
-
@ellieellie You have redeemed yourself twicefold, Lightning Bolt are my bananasing jam.
-
@ellieellie If we're talking bass/drum duos though, what are your thoughts on Lightning Bolt?
-
@ellieellie I understand, and I'm still disappointed ;~;
-
@ellieellie I still can't forgive you for not liking them though >:0
-
@ellieellie That's true, I was speaking in terms of playing ability. Cause, let's be honest, they're not exactly Animals as Leaders or anything. But, I mean, they just have a textural quality to their music that's just really in a league of its own. I get what you mean though.
-
@ellieellie It's not even that they're super talented, they just have a really creative and unique sound that's just really desirable, at least for me.
-
@ellieellie Because they have such an incredibly unique approach that I've yet to be seen done to the degree they're capable of. The bass lines are so incredibly heavy, but the songs are simultaneously very catchy and dancey. Not to mention the drumming, despite being a bit simple, is so in your face and actually adds to the punchiness of the songs. It all feels very jammy and comes together quite cohesively. That's why I like them, anyway. I was so-so on their most recent single but I'm still hyped for their upcoming album because it'll be their first set of new material in 10 years.

@ellieellie You lost like a million points, I'm disappointed Ellie. Not even liking their godly Heads Up EP saddens me.
-
@ellieellie You're dead to me.
-
@ellieellie Actually, DFA1979's drummer/vocalist is from my hometown

@ellieellie Case in point https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMkaMbaZ3Qs

@ellieellie Bassists take a close second
-
@ellieellie I'm not ignorant
-
@ellieellie I hope you know that if you don't like Tame Impala you're dead to me
-
@ellieellie Now, for clarification, are we talking about the same Impala? Because when I hear Impala I think about the '60s classic.
-
@ellieellie Lonerism is forever my car jam
-
@ellieellie TAKE IT BACK
-
@ellieellie That's good, the last time I was driving a Tame Impala I felt like I was only going backwards
-
@ellieellie Nearly 70% of the people you know have good taste, then.
-
@ellieellie THAT'S MANLY.
-
@ellieellie Are they Tame Impalas?
-
@ellieellie (also this is the word of a pony-lover, little disclaimer)
-
@ellieellie If Will thinks it's manly it's pretty damn manly
-
@ellieellie In my defense it's Emily's and she is much manlier than me
-
@ellieellie I'd personally call that manly, heaviest model at the time plus they're generally awesome.
-
@ellieellie The only car I've ever driven was my mom's. Not that I care, I hate driving. xD
-
@ellieellie I would have no shame whatsoever driving this http://www.stunningvehicles.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Audi-R8-8.jpg
-
@ellieellie Might really depend on the model or more personal taste.
