@tenmihara If you want. I'm not very good at comparing writing styles, though. I think differently from most people. When I read a book, I tend to let my imagination take over and I 'watch' the book in my head. So, errors that would trip most people up I either gloss over or repair along the way. I actually have to concentrate if I'm going to edit somepony's work :P

@tenmihara BLtSaP was actually one of the main reasons I went and bought Portal 2. While BLtSaP is good on its own, I would definitely recommend at least reading a plot summary of Portal 2 beforehand. Without knowledge of Portal 2, you miss half of the storyline.

@tenmihara It always is hard.... My favs, besides Past Sins, would have to be either Better Living through Science and Ponies or It's a Dangerous Business, Going Out Your Door. I might have to give BLtSaP a reread though to see if it is as good as I thought it was. That was my first proper fanfic, so I might remember it better than it was :P

@tenmihara Of course. I'm talking about fanfictions set in normal, semi-canon Equestria. Obviously this one is set in something much different, where most logic laws no longer apply.

@tenmihara From a certain perspective. Almost fanfics break certain logic laws set out in and by the show, the question is how many and how severely. The best fanfictions break these laws only for good reason. In Past Sins, for example, most of the logic laws were left intact. Characters remained in-character and reacted as they would have. The sociology of the world and interactions between characters remained (mostly) the same as FiM's world would have behaved under the conditions it was placed in.

@tenmihara I would, but it appears to be of ungodly length and not even finished yet. I read too fast for my own good, and I'm too impatient to wait for another chapter. Theres a few fanfics I've forgotten about because I caught up before they were finished and they didn't release a new chapter before I got caught up in another. Thus, one of my rules of fanfic reading is to wait until it's finished before I start. The thing is... will this one EVER end?

Bloody hell, there aren't any words in the English language good enough to praise Past Sins with. I want to design a cover for a published version, but I don't have any art skills. Bleugh.
