!calgarybronies @darcyblue Sunday is perfect for me, as that's when I can get a ride. Any Sunday but the 30th as I have plans that day. As for location, I don't really know of many other places, I think the Sentry Box would do fine though. They have lots of people organizing stuff there on a regular basis. Also I still think we should do Pin the Tail on the Pony at some point. :P

@phoenixswift !calgarybronies tell the truth i have alot of time to think at work. and i am makeing half of this stuff up on the fly here. but i do try to think up some fun and nice ideas to hopefully get the most for this ever growing group. i really want to know is... how should i set this up and when? this is more based off of you ponys needs and avaleabilitys. personally i have free nights every sunday. but im trying to look into information right now about places that we can actually.. well... meetup. if anyone has any ideas besides the sentry box. please voice them.

@darcyblue I work weekends and am not in the city. I may be able to beg a ride in out of my mom if I'm not working when it happens, but I don't drive. Me and my friend both want to go but she is also out of Calgary from the summer.
-
@mayhapmurklins well im trying to set this up so it will be a regular thing. so even if you cant make it to the first one. there will be others.
-
@darcyblue Yay! That's awesome. I had been slightly worried about that so I'm glad it'll be a regular thing. :)

!calgarybronies ok so i thought up some stuff. first we can have our group meeting hopefully at a place called the sentry box. the yhave a viewing room for there anime watcing group called J.A.W.S. i am shure they are still there. i will probley aska bout whats going on about it sunday when im in the area. as for events we can do the mystery science theatre 300 watchathon thing, PMV's, contests. and also road trips. i think 2 good places for road tripping is vulcan inthe summer and banff in the winter. nothing beats a hotstpring in winter inthe mountains. as for things we can do in town, we can go bowling. go to various parks and also keep an eye for various MLP events in town. but so far im working on finding an HQ first before we go further with that.

@darcyblue !calgarybronies Hopefully I'll be able to make time for some of these events (since I'm working a lot during the summer, but I do get every other weekend off). As for transportation, I tend to use public transit when necessary, but I can walk if the location is close enough to my house. I don't have a car, so that's pretty much what I have to rely on. I'm not strapped for cash, or anything (not having a car means no money's needed for gas, insurance, etc.), so budget isn't really an issue with me either.
-
-
@darcyblue !calgarybronies Sounds like you got this stuff figured out quite a bit. Just let me know if I can do anything to help. I don't really have a vehicle or anything so my resources are somewhat limited, but I want to do what I can and can also throw a few bits around for anything needing to be paid for.

!calgarybronies ok so this is a quick creation of a groop symbol so far. im working on the lettering. im trying to find a place to get the generation B free or something close to it to make it look more proper. but i think this is a good symbol for the group dont you think? http://ur1.ca/4qjeo

!calgarybronies I'm kind of an art nut (hell, I studied it in university!), so I've been drawing, painting, making costumes, and generally being crafty for most of my life. Ponies are new there, but definitely lots of fun! *scribble scribble*

!calgarybronies can i be co-group leader? its not like i dont have (now 3 sims) in a virtual world as one of the leaders and owners of over 3000 bronies! now as for a place to meet up. i wonder what is best for everyone though. like what kind of transportation is available for people? where are people willing to go? i personally use public transit. as for viewing the shows. that may be intresting. we would need a viewing room of sorts i think. where? i dont know. thats a puzzlement to me. if anyone has a projecter and a laptop that be a bonus. basically means anywhere we can have a nice flat white surface. and eating out may be a budget thing.
Monday, 18-Jul-11 10:23:29 UTC from web-
@darcyblue !calgarybronies When we get back to Calgary around the beginning of school, me and my friend will probably be limited to public transportation as well. If we can get to this we definitely want to!
-
-
!calgarybronies Good to know there are other bronies in Calgary other than myself (and a few select others I know of).
Monday, 18-Jul-11 23:18:17 UTC from web- Scribus, A Big Pony and Thomas repeated this.
-
!calgarybronies There we go. 9 hours and 38 minutes of pony. I remember seeing that on ED. Too bad it's only 360p though.

Every artist I commission to do Classyraptor is like "That...is the best idea EVER!" I find it hard to believe no one thought of it before, honestly.
-
@rotation Highly appropriate, considering the first episode on there is Cutie Mark Chronicles, I think.
-
!calgarybronies I'm a big fan of MST3000

@darcyblue !calgarybronies Special talents? If you can call being the laziest thing ever a "talent", I've got that! Seriously though, with motivation I'd like to get into drawing. 3D design as well as always been something I wanted to try. I also use the public transportation to get around, and my good ol' legs, they usually get me where I need to be.
Monday, 18-Jul-11 15:47:09 UTC from web -
@darcyblue !calgarybronies I'm willing to go anywhere in the city. Hell, I'm considering going to Oregon for the meatup there. As for hidden talents, I think most of mine are still hidden. :P I'm decent at writing when I get going but I tend to run out of ideas easily halfway through.
Monday, 18-Jul-11 14:42:41 UTC from web -
!calgarybronies also id like to know if anyone has any special talents. like maybe there good with needle and thread, maybe drawing. or like me. 3d grafics and design. i want to know your hidden talents! maybe we can have art commissions withinthe groop or a gallery or something of the sort!
Monday, 18-Jul-11 10:28:07 UTC from web-
@darcyblue !calgarybronies Cleaning, Organization, and Finding things on the internet are my "special" talents i guess.

!calgarybronies I feel as if im not really contributing. What would you have your group leader do?
Monday, 18-Jul-11 10:08:17 UTC from web -
!calgarybronies i am a major dissapointment to the name of bronies. i went to the stampede in an attempt to watch the life show. however i got there just after they finished up and that hipnotist was up on stage. but i blame calgary transit. the guy i got for a bus driver was a complete butt puppet. i will start looking about for a place to do this MLP:FiM/mystery science theatre 3000 showing thing. if anyone has any suggestions il help out. i think il head this demon and try to do whatever i can for my fellow bronies <3

!calgarybronies Finally came up with a new idea! We can gather up somewhere like a restaurant, eat some good food while talking about ponies, then go somewhere and watch a buncha episodes! With fun commentary of course. Could be a fun way to spend a day.
Sunday, 17-Jul-11 14:48:54 UTC from web-
@phoenixswift !calgarybronies Ooh I like that idea! That would be fun!

-
!calgarybronies mystery science theatre style. i like it.i was thinking hitting up a bowling ally or eating out somewhere. also for the groop icon i got no clue but i think it should show applejack. i think he is more calgary of all the ponys. il probley draw something sooner or later for a groop icon that i think is right.

!calgarybronies @sterlingpoint and I have had a meetup in the works for some time, though I'd love to see what others can put together too! We will update as things come along.

!calgarybronies hey everypony what do you think of the group icon? i never really asked for anyone else input.
Saturday, 16-Jul-11 02:04:29 UTC from web-
@bronybooze !calgarybronies Seconding the notion for keeping it the way it is. Luna is great.
-
-
@bronybooze !calgarybronies Yes, where the big ball of fire burns us from space. It's terrible, I know. As for the group icon: I dunno, everybody loves Luna.

!calgarybronies I was at the stampede show on Tuesday. It was better than expected, for sure, but I was a bit peeved they used a Pinkie Pie song with no Pinkie Pie. Also, there was a mob of children and that was off-putting.

Friday, 15-Jul-11 23:16:35 UTC from web -
!calgarybronies Only thing I can think of is being in an open place like a park and playing games with a pony spin on 'em. That's all I got right now, I'll wrack my brain more after work.
Friday, 15-Jul-11 19:19:24 UTC from web-
@phoenixswift Watch Ponies and drink beer! If you're old enough that is. Otherwise watch ponies and go for a buffet somewhere

!calgarybronies or do whatever it is a small mob would do...
Friday, 15-Jul-11 18:58:17 UTC from web -
!calgarybronies now that we have a small gathering. i belive we should go and have a true meeetup one day and so some MLP;FiM stuff. where and what we can do is up in the air right now so if anyone has suggestions they should post them.
Friday, 15-Jul-11 18:57:49 UTC from web -
@iarelemons !calgarybronies Y'know, it wasn't all that bad. Not what I expected but the kids seemed to enjoy it at least, and that's what they were after. And the bronies there made it fun for themselves too. Certainly didn't think we'd have something like that here though.

@iarelemons LOL I am the one who recorded these, I admit it really wasn't that bad as people are making it out to be. The songs were faithful enough, it was for kids after all not bronies.
-
-
@bronybooze !calgarybronies Waitwaitwait. I wasn't paying any attention at all to the Stampede this year. There was something pony-related and I missed out? I want details! Even if it wasn't that great.
