So, then! #DrunkScribusGames now! :p (No, I probably won't continue with the #DrunkScribus hashtags all night) Newgrounds has a Pokemon-themed tower defense game. Story's a bit silly, and the gameplay is simplistic to a near-fault (not that TD is a generally complex genre) but it's fun enough for a drunken night on the 'tubes. newgrounds.com/portal/view/566150 !vgp

!vgp - Dark Souls is a game you don't dominate. You come to terms with yourself as a player and hack away at bits of it till the foundation gives way.

!vgp - Rage was disappointing in its story, everything else was good but the story wasn't really there; it sent postcards every now and again telling me it was happening somewhere but other than that it didn't really make a showing.

Holy murdock, why has Gears 3 felt so epic thus far, yet the sequel felt boring because it was more of the same, when this is as well? Maybe it's because I have the expectations of a rental game, who knows? !vgp

Since I've beaten Assassin's Creed and gotten a few more achievments on it I'm going to start on Gears of War 3, @iPwnCakez will hop in via co op on Saturday possibly. !vgp

@fallinwinter It's one of those games if you forget something, or don't check everywhere you go it will kick you in proverbial balls and laugh at you. Very pretty game though especially with all these plants.

@critialcloudkicker I have a 3DS for one reason and one reason only. While the actual 3D may be a gimmick (that is far too hard to use while playing) it also means that the system needed better graphic capability regardless and that means better graphics in games. Other than that, I'm just waiting till games that aren't ports or remakes to show up (Kid Icarus, Luigi's Mansion 2...)

@fallinwinter Hmm, when I finally have an android telephone I am sure I'll be playing a whole lot of SNES games and stuff, cut out the middle man, you dont need a state of the art gaming machine to handheld play the games you used to play while sitting comfortable on your couch. Something which I can still do BTW, just look on my attic, LOADS of games. Just my 2 cents. Eventually ( I hope ) bad ports and remakes will stop and I'll get to see a console worth buying

@critialcloudkicker While I don't mind a good remake or two and giving people a back library of games to relive nostalgia in an easier to find format, It would be nice to get more than a few games that are actual new IPs and not sequels or games that are carbon copies of one or two different games mashed together. Not to say that there aren't original games or good sequels and series, but perhaps it's a sign when saying a game is "Innovative" doesn't necessarily come down to being it's own IP

@abigpony I'm REALLY hoping it's good. The features previews and other combat trailers are very promising. And even if there isn't a group for Solar and Lunar I wouldn't care...I just think it's unlikely there won't be with a game that high profile.
