A whip is a practical weapon or it would not be classified as a weapon. In a scenario where both weilders help the same mastery there is no telling what would happen. You cannot assume that a sword would win just like I cannot assume a whip would win. The situation is far fetched because we live in a modern time with much better weapons. I am sure that any battle where a long sword fought a guy with a whip is long lost or is undocumented. I am just saying that a whip is a practical weapon."}
