Now after several hours of mining, I FINALLY found enough new material to make new tools, including 3 diamonds to make another pickaxe, so that I can mine enough obsidian to make another Nether portal. I even learned from last time - exited and jumped into the portal with a clean start - and the second I go in, I'm attacked by some freaky sounding thing I can't see and knocked into a huge pit of lava... and lose all my tools and all the obsidian that I had left over."}
