I ran like it was life and death. This was back in grade school. I always thought I was the fastest. In school I was never beaten in a race. I had the Rainbow Dash attitude, until I went to an organized race. 200 students. All around a place called "Lower Fort Garry". I was ready for this. I knew I could win and come in first. I severely underestimated the distance and the speed of others. I quickly fell behind. I panicked, but I kept my head cool and did not stop. For awhile, I saw no one around. I had assumed I had either gotten in last, or probably first. I saw the finish line, but then I heard it. Footsteps behind me. I turned to see a girl sprinting for it. I picked up my speed. I matched hers, but it was her who got in 39th. Heh, I was in 40th, but I knew it wasn't bad. 40th out of 200. I liked that, and ever since then I've respected other racers and I never accepted challenges again."}
