Al, the father, used to say things like, &quot;Well, at least things couldn't POSSIBLY get worse,&quot; or, &quot;This is the best day of my life!&quot; After he said such things, THE worst possible thing would to happen to screw up his plans\/situation. Therefore, I (oddly) adopted this mindset and totally live by it. It's almost a credo."}
