Others would be alright with it, and a few might appreciate and accept me just as they do on Fimfiction. I accept that I'll never be as close as I'd like with those from whom I hide myself, and feel it's a small price considering the witch hunts that I generally avoid. (I don't avoid them all, of course, because I've been open about it on RDN.)

I also have my wife's feelings about my reputation to consider. She knows all of my important work, but we both care how our community sees us, and that community isn't all open-minded.

Some day I'll attempt to publish something not connected to anypony else's IP, and we'll see how that changes things and whether I use my real name or not. In the mean time I'm trying to become good enough to some day write something that will change lives, and, in order to do that, I do have to be conscious of at least my target audience."}
