There's generally a pit near the middle of the crowd and if you wanna mosh you go in. I have moshed a few times in the past and generally speaking most of the time people are actually really cool about it and will help you up if you fall down. But as I said before, it's totally optional, really. Most people just do it for the energy. I've actually been to small shows where I've made it to the stage and dived off too, that was pretty cool. The other thing you should know is that it's not uncommon at all to encounter copious amounts of weed at a rock show, and even if you're not into it the place will no doubt reek of it. But really, as long as your responsible about it you should be okay."}
